Park Department Summer Fun Activities for the Family!

Summer Pass Applications for the pool and tennis court usage are available online and at Town Center.  Family passes are $250.  Over 65 passes are $50.  Families must have a season pass to enjoy swim team activities and summer camp sessions.

Sewer Plant Emergency Generator Coming in Fall 2013

Southside Place has been awarded a $285,000 state funded emergency generator for the sewer plant.  During future Gulf Coast region emergencies and power outages, the back-up natural gas generator will provide power.

COMMUNITY GARDEN UPDATE

 A large crowd of citizens and guests enjoyed the recent community garden party at Town Center.  On July 11 at 6 PM, discussion will include cost estimates, sponsors, and plumbing plans.   The meeting is at the clubhouse.

Welcome to the City of Southside Place

Southside Place is a residential and commercial area, with its residential streets alphabetized. Its Boundaries run north to University and south to Grammercy, then east from Edloe, west to the 4200 block of Bellaire with Auden as the west edge of the alphabetized streets, with Fire Truck Park, clubhouse, pool and softball field in the middle. Southside Place with only 410 homes and 1,726 residents, has managed to keep its small town, family oriented atmosphere even when some of the surrounding areas have gone "big city." Southside Place has its own mayor, city manager, five council members, a police chief, a Police Department and a volunteer fire department.
