Additions to the park grounds have been made with new
landscaping, tennis court fencing, and playground mulch. Plans are underway for an exciting pool,
summer camp, and swim team season!
Please provide any suggestions or comments to Wads Crews as to park improvements and other
recreational activities. The Southside
Place Fire Truck Park Fund recently provided monies for a new water fountain. The second annual Winter Wonderland Carnival
raised $ 10,000 toward future improvements at the park.
In addition, a 2014 park and pool survey will be distributed
to residents in February, 2014. We
encourage and look forward to your feedback!
Prosperity Bank is seeking changes
to zoning regulations in the Low Intensity Mixed Use (LIM) District for a new
commercial building and bank drive-thru lanes.
A Planning and Zoning public hearing to consider changing zoning regulations
will take place in late January or early February. This Plan Development application has been
filed for construction along Bellaire
Boulevard at Edloe. The vacant land site is near Poor Farm Ditch
and the bridge.

The City of
Southside Place will be recycling holiday trees
for the twelfth consecutive year. Please have your tree at the curb by January
13 for pick-up. Holiday
mulch will be made available to residents from January 20-24. Please call Town Center
if you would like us to deliver this magical mulch.

the clubhouse and public safety security checks inside the park area are
occurring during each shift.

and placed inside appropriate black sanitation bags. Please be courteous to your neighbors and

RATE INCREASE TAKES EFFECT WITH APRIL, 2014 BILLING
In March, 2014, city council is expected to approve a new
five year water/wastewater plan and recommendation report based upon a cost of
service and rate design study by Water Resources Management. Each year, the City of Houston increases surface water charges for Southside Place and
other municipalities as a result of their own rate study. Southside
Place is required to purchase 80% of our annual
water from Houston. Residential and commercial customer rates
